According to TBR Football, West Ham is considering making a last-minute attempt to capture Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain before the transfer market closes.
On August 26, the outlet’s website stated that the Hammers are hoping to take advantage of Besiktas’ financial predicament and the former player’s wish to return to England in order to finalize another signing before the deadline.
After making significant recruitments, James Ward-Prowse and Tomas Soucek may be let go, creating space for the former England international.
But West Ham isn’t the only team “plotting” a move; Wolves and Nottingham Forest are also involved, as are Brentford and Crystal Palace.

Even if Oxlade-Chamberlain is only 31 years old, the Irons may not really need to make this late move.
Having played just 89 games for Liverpool and Besiktas in the last four seasons, he hasn’t put on a lot of mileage, but when he does play well, he is unquestionably a dynamic player.
However, Carlos Soler is expected to join from Paris Saint-Germain once space is created [The Times, August 26], so it might be overkill to fit the Ox in as well. He also had terrible injury luck in the later years of his Anfield career.
