Compared to our continental counterparts (particularly France and Italy), British cuisine sometimes gets a poor name and does not always receive the acclaim it deserves.
French food is known for being refined but tasty, whereas Italian food is recognized as true comfort, indulgent food all over the world.
British cuisine, on the other hand, is linked with British weather—dull, tedious, and occasionally gray! In most circumstances, this is figurative, yet it could not be further from the truth.
There are so many delicious British culinary pleasures, therefore here is a list of suggested everyday meals that are appreciated and eaten on a regular basis throughout the UK.
When you next visit the UK, be sure to take some time to eat one of the dishes on the list.
Perhaps the most common and popular British supper. Everyone likes (or loves, in certain cases), and if you don’t, you’re obviously doing something wrong.

Some of the nicest we’ve had have been in beach towns, however quite a few in London have pleasantly surprised us, including the Anstruther Fish Bar in the beautiful kingdom of Fife. Which, to be honest, has the lightest crispiest batter conceivable and the finest chips ever (which is why it has a slew of renowned admirers and customers, like Tom Hanks and Prince William).
